Irene Linck
Chief Financial Officer

Irene joined SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. in May 2013. She handles the financial and grant requirements for SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc.
Irene spent most of her career in the corporate arena, including financial roles at Price Waterhouse and Nabisco Inc. Irene has been a trustee on non-profit agency boards and volunteers at N.J. Literacy.
Irene earned a Master of Business Administration from Fordham University in New York and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University in Philadelphia. Irene is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Megan MacMullin, Esq.
Chief Executive Officer

Megan has been part of the SCARC family of services for 16 years. Beginning in 2003, Megan served as Member and Chair (2015-2017) of the SCARC, Inc. Board of Trustees and Member and eventually Chair (2007-2009) of the SCARC Foundation Board of Trustees. In 2018, Megan was hired by SCARC Guardianship Services to assume the position of Chief Executive Officer for Linda McConville, who retired after 26 years of service to SCARC Guardianship Services.
Megan began her professional career as a social worker for Willowglen Academy in Newton, New Jersey and then with the Vernon Township Public Schools Child Study Team. Megan was responsible for counseling and providing case management for students with disabilities and their families from preschool through age 21. Her work put her in direct contact with many families who needed a variety of supports and services in school, in their homes and within their communities. The needs of the families that she worked with and her desire to help them in a variety of different ways were a major contributing factor to her decision to attend law school.
Following her graduation from New York Law School in 2003, Megan began her legal career in practice at Fitzgibbons & Goovaerts, LLP and later at Laddey, Clark and Ryan, LLP. She enjoyed practicing in a variety of different areas, but she received the most satisfaction in the areas of Estate, Probate and Guardianship law. Megan eventually set up her own law practice and focused solely on estate and guardianship matters. Megan acts as court-appointed counsel for individuals needing a Guardian and also serves as a court-appointed Guardian for those who do not have anyone to serve on their behalf. Megan’s goal as an attorney is to support individuals and families in their efforts to navigate the legal and social service systems and to represents those individuals who need help yet are unable to speak for themselves or require assistance to do so. At SCARC Guardianship Services, it is Megan’s goal and the goal of her team to help individuals advocate for themselves and to provide the support and guidance each person needs to be successful, happy and safe throughout his or her life.
Deb Mabie
Guardianship Caseworker

Deb joined SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. in 2017 as a Guardianship Caseworker. She has extensive experience working in programs serving people with physical and intellectual disabilities, notably at Liberty Resources in Allentown, PA. In addition, she worked for the Muscular Dystrophy Association as well as an advocacy organization for people with intellectual disabilities in Lehigh Valley, PA.
Deb earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania.
Heather Kinney
Financial Assistant

Heather returned to SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. in 2016 as a Financial Assistant. She had previously served as Executive Assistant in 2007 and Financial Assistant from 2007-2009. Heather earned her Associates Degree at Katherine Gibbs School as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from William Patterson University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Jennifer Case
Coordinator of Pro Se Legal Advocacy Program and Guardianship Caseworker

A life-long resident of Sussex County, Jennifer came to SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. in 2002 from SCARC, Inc., where she served as their public relations coordinator. Jennifer is the Coordinator of the Pro Se Advocacy Program for SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. and assists approximately 90 families per year with obtaining legal guardianship of their family members. The program serves families in Sussex, Morris, Hudson, Warren, and Passaic Counties.
A National Certified Guardian since 2003, Jennifer shares her knowledge and experience with her clients, as well as staff and families from many high schools, Family Support Agencies and area Arcs, discussing the Pro Se Program and the need for guardianship. To date, Jennifer has assisted over 1000 families through the Pro Se Program.
Jennifer also serves as a dedicated caseworker for individuals served by SCARC Guardianship Services. In that capacity, she has played an integral role in the end-of-life decisions required for her guardianship clients. In 2010 she was awarded SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. Employee of the Year.
Jennifer is a graduate of Gettysburg College and was a former member and past president of Fredon Township Board of Education.
Judy McDonough
Guardianship Caseworker

Judy joined SCARC Guardianship Services, Inc. in the fall of 2016 as a Guardianship Caseworker and in 2017 she began assisting the Coordinator of Pro Se with cases in Sussex County. Judy is a National Certified Guardian.
Judy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge both professionally and personally. Judy worked for SCARC, Inc. serving as the Staff Trainer for three years and the Staff Recruiter for five years. Judy has twenty-six years of personal experience as the mother of a son with multiple disabilities. Judy has navigated the complexities of the NJ educational system and NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities for children and adult services.
Judy is a graduate of Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, graduating summa cum laude.
Judy Symons
Administrative Assistant

Judy joined SCARC Guardianship Services in 2017 as an Administrative Assistant. She previously worked in the Legal Department of Selective Insurance as a Compliance Operations Specialist. Judy volunteers for The Helping Horseshoe Therapeutic Riding Club, which many of our SCARC client’s participant in.
